Members have been regularly entertained by the folk duo "Fools Gold" from Stanley in Co Durham with their latest performance at the club being in October 2017. They have always put on an audio-visual performance of the highest standard which combines music with stories and visuals. Following the visit to the East Durham Heritage Centre at Seaham Marina, described in the Events page, members had the opportunity to explore the revamped Seaham Harbour North Terrace seafront area. At the centre of the green is the statue by sculptor Ray Lonsdale, built from special corteen steel standing 9ft 5ins high and weighing 1.2 tonnes. Officially entitled 11-01 after the first minute of the armistice on November 11th 1918, it is affectionally known as "Tommy" by all in the town.Our Vice-President is seen pointing out salient features to fellow members.

Probus members were entertained in March 2015 with a lute-song recital by the singer Deryck Webb and lutenist Robin Thodey
